Welcome foodie friends!
In this blog you will follow a passion for cooking by a foodie, locavore, and unemployed graphic designer. Hopefully it will ignite some passion of your own!
Deborah and I were discussing the "dutch oven" which originally was a deep cast iron skillet which lid had a raised lip to hold coals. In truth an "oven" for cooking on an open hearth. We used these when camping for cooking apple pies. Yum!
I had wanted a dutch oven for quite a while, and as the traditional gift for the 6th wedding anniversary is iron, that's what I asked for. Have used it 4 times in the week and a half since our anniversary and I love it!
Love it! I will visit regularly. I could use some inspiration. Best of luck.
